With the lockdown starting to ease and many businesses being able to return to work under new restrictions, many law firms continue to work remotely by combining necessary visits to the office. Most if not all firms we engage with and listen to have adapted their working practices to continue to support and service their clients.
As we enter mid-June, firms are reporting some positive news in terms of returning to ‘pre lockdown’ new business levels and general engagement with existing and new clients. On average, firms are reporting approximately 75% of a return to normal with most areas picking up although company and commercial are still slower.
Whilst this signifies some positivity, many firms remain concerned about their future and assessing the full extent of the impact of the lockdown is still not fully appreciated and causing some apprehension for firms and their owners.
